Emerging as the latest Hip Hop live band on the precipice of mainstream excellence, Philadelphia Slick has returned with "Oil", an effort surely to up heave the rap status quo.  Fronted by lyricist Noesis, Philadelphia Slick has taken an innovative approach to the discussion of societal ills amongst constant motivation and musical stamina.

Vocalist Jenn Z all but stands in proxy of horn instrumentation with harmonies secure in creation and sound, highlighting the standout elements of the band production. Tracks to check for include the lyrically driven "Hunt V. Kill" and the ultimate challenge track, "Poets Write Killers." Sticky rhythms, solid lyrics and sounds of clarity will surely bring thoughts of fellow Philadelphians The Roots, however, Philadelphia Slick has managed to maintain the precedent of live instrumentation while inventing a sound all their own.
